Our amazing garden project with Place2be

We are incredibly lucky to be working with Place2Be on their Securing Tomorrow Garden project, in partnership with Sarasin & Partners. This new garden area will promote the importance of children’s mental health, and offer a safe space where children can take time and talk.

The garden was unveiled at the world-renowned RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which took place this spring (24-28 May 2022). RHS Ambassador and horticulturist Jamie Butterworth is designing the Place2Be Securing Tomorrow Garden, which will be his first RHS Chelsea Flower Show Garden.

Jamie, who is a Place2Be Champion, has designed the garden with input from staff and pupils at Place2Be partner school, Viking Primary School in West London. It aims to be safe and peaceful, where children can feel calm and are able to talk, while also taking in the beauty of plants and the benefits of being outdoors.

Parenting Smart – digital parenting course from Place2be

Place2Be has recently developed a digital parenting course called "Parenting Smart". It is very easily accessible, uses small bite sized pieces of information, with clear illustrations and examples.

It has been available as an App for some months and has just been piloted as an On-Line course this year. If you are interested in this opportunity, please find additional information on these flyers:

The on-line course can be translated into several other languages, and both versions can be listened to if reading is too challenging.

For both courses, please follow this link to register: https://www.place2be.org.uk/family
